Human-Centric Approach to EdTech Innovation
Our Work Recognized by IIM Ahmedabad
Our program PRAKASHAK integrates parental engagement into the public school system in partnership with the government, empowering parents to actively support their children’s learning using accessible technology.
We’re excited to share that our work has been featured in the IIM Ahmedabad’s latest case study, "Learnings from EdTech" by Tarun Jain and Ambrish Dongre.
The case highlights innovative EdTech approaches addressing India’s learning crisis and offers key insights into how these models are bridging learning gaps for the students who need them the most.
Glad that our efforts are contributing to classroom discussions on the importance of scalable EdTech solutions.

EdTech Is Not the Solution. It’s a Starting Point.
“At ThinkZone, we’ve implemented technology-enabled, evidence-backed programs across rural and underserved communities. And what we’ve learned is this: The power of Edtech comes alive when it complements, not replaces human connection.
Standalone solutions can increase access. But real, long-term learning gains happen when tech is paired with offline systems, community processes, and the unwavering support of great teachers and parents.
It’s not fast. It’s not flashy. But it works.”
Binayak Acharya, Founder and CEO of ThinkZone, shares these powerful insights in his article titled “Edtech Is Not the Solution. It’s a Starting Point.” He explains how our simple yet effective approach, focused on putting the right technology in the hands of great teachers and parents, is creating meaningful impact.

Growing Together
Last month was filled with celebrations as we marked important milestones in our team's journey at ThinkZone!
We proudly celebrated another remarkable year with Swastik, Chinmaya, and Sujata, who continue to be integral to our mission and growth. We’re also excited to announce that Ankita and Swetabaha have stepped into new roles as Senior Program Associates. With expanded responsibilities, they’ll play a key role in driving ThinkZone’s impact forward and reaching new heights.
Stakeholder Reflections
“I regularly teach my child using the videos of Bina Didi (the virtual teacher who shares content with parents through WhatsApp). I’ve noticed that my child is now more engaged and interested in learning. The videos and simple activities make it easy for me to teach, and I also receive worksheets and images that help support Santosh’s learning. I can clearly see my child’s growing interest in learning,” said Madhav, parent of Santosh from Cuttack district, Odisha.
“Parents from all backgrounds genuinely want to support their children’s learning, but earlier, they lacked the capacity and resources to do so. As school staff, we made efforts to motivate and involve them, but as teachers, it was difficult to do this consistently due to time constraints. Now that ThinkZone’s PRAKASHAK program is integrated into our school system, supporting parents has become much easier through the use of technology. Teachers are connected through school groups, and parents receive regular guidance via WhatsApp. I believe this approach will make learning smoother for all children,” said Pritiranjan Malik, Assistant Teacher, Radhika Chhanda Project Primary School, Jajpur district, Odisha.
